Boundary Layout
English River Forest-summer 2026
In the English River Forest of Northwestern Ontario, Boots On Ground Field Services continues to provide boundary layout services across some of the region's most rugged and challenging terrain. Our team works on an ongoing basis to ensure industry operates in full compliance with applicable forest management standards and provincial regulations.
Navigating dense boreal forest, wetlands, and difficult ground conditions, our crew carefully identifies and investigates areas of concern, making necessary corrections to ensure boundaries are accurately flagged and clearly defined. This work plays a critical role in keeping forestry operations in conformance with the various standards governing sustainable forest management in the region.
Work included:
-
Boundary line
-
Area of concern investigation and removal
-
GPS track logging and line verification
-
Terrain assessment and route planning
-
Compliance checks against forest management standards
-
Over 140 km of boundary laid across the English River Forest and counting
Following fieldwork, GPS lines are analyzed and submitted to logging contractor so harvest operations can commence.
